One of the most interesting periods in England's history and one of the most important was during the reign of Henry the VIII. Due to his concern about producing an heir and the political obstructions which stood in his way in Rome and in England, Henry turned the English Church and it's system of Government on end and created a revolution in the development of Parliamentary powers as wielded by the King.
