The Prehistory development

Before the Romans

The development of England before the arrival of the Romans paralleled trends that were taking place on the continent. The receding ice sheets allow the natives to occupy previously uninhabitable lands, but it also caused the sea to rise and created a island where their had been a peninsula. The Bronze and iron ages helped make life easier for the people and prepare for the coming invasions that were inevitable.
