The soul and spirit of the
nation are embodied by the writings of its philosophers. This
may intrude in many different disciplines including religion,
politics, the military, the pacifist or science. Many of
England's greatest philosophers have produced works which shed
light on their world and time but which are also applicable as
universal principles to many places and many times. |
