The rich and distinguished
history of English Literature starts with some of the early
historians of the Roman period but really takes off with
Chaucer. The flowering of the golden age of works begins with
William Shakespeare and has continued right into the 21st
century, with new authors, new styles and an ever increasing
canon of English literature presented to the curious reader. |
